Bug-Fixes
#1 Fix: Cant update TIN number for existing customer
Overview
We are addressing an issue in the Customer Module where users are unable to update the TIN number for existing customers once their status is in “Pending Approval” or “Approved”.
1. What Has Changed
TIN Update Issue Under Investigation and Fix Applied:
Users were previously blocked from updating the TIN field due to an incorrect validation error (“Invalid TIN / SSM number”) when using the Search TIN function.
Previously:
TIN could not be updated for customers in “Pending Approval” or “Approved” status
System incorrectly rejected valid updates as invalid TIN/SSM
Now:
TIN field can be updated regardless of customer status (Pending Approval or Approved)
Validation during update has been corrected to properly accept valid TIN/SSM values
Search TIN flow no longer incorrectly blocks save action
2. Where This Is Reflected in the Portal
This fix applies to:
Customer Module
TIN update flow using “Search TIN” function
Customer records in both “Pending Approval” and “Approved” statuses
When users:
Search and select a TIN
Click save
The system will now:
Allow valid updates to be saved successfully
No longer incorrectly reject valid TIN/SSM inputs
3. Impact
Users can now freely update or correct TIN information
Removes unnecessary restrictions on customer record maintenance
